Description
Sarah Sabina Kean wrote from Butternuts to John Kean, her son, addressed to Highland School, Cold Spring, Putnam County, NY. Sarah was upset that John was not applying himself to his classical studies and stopped attending classes. When he was turned out of Mr. Peugnet's school he promised her he would submit to the rules of whatever school she put him in. She is worried Dr. Charles Beck will turn him out from Highland as well if this continues.
