Description

John Kean wrote to John Daucheraud Grimke. The letter was marked as a dead letter for an unknown reason and sent to the General Post Office. When its contents was read it was returned to the post office in Philadelphia. Mrs. Kean was mentioned as being the widow of John on the back, showing the letter was returned after John Kean had died.
