Florence Price Dwyer was the second woman–and first Republican woman–elected to Congress from New Jersey. She served in the House from January 3, 1957 to January 3, 1973. She was an advocate for women’s rights and a critic of the Vietnam War. Dwyer’s papers include records of public service, correspondence with peers and constituents, printed material, and memorabilia documenting her career as a member of the United States Congress.
