Description

To establish an Office of Consumer Affairs to advise the President with regard to all matters affecting the interests of consumers, to have central responsibility for coordinating all Federal programs and activities affecting consumers, and to assure that the interests of consumers are considered by Federal agencies; to establish a Consumer Advisory Council to advice the Director of the Office of Consumer Affairs on matters relating to the consumer interests; and to establish a Consumer Protection Division within the Department of Justice to represent the interests of consumers in administrative and judicial proceedings.
