An AI to Help Reduce Heating Bills

Abstract
This paper centers on the development of an AI to help an energy company help their customers reduce their heating bills. There are two main reasons for energy consumption: the heating being turned up too high and the poor insulation of the house. Thermostat set point and heating power loss coefficient are the variables reflecting the above two reasons. Therefore, this paper needs to explore the thermostat set point and heating power loss coefficient of different houses to find the reason, and then find a solution to reduce heating bills. Using different prior models and calculated posterior distributions, this paper finally designed a good fitting model to directly calculate the thermostat set point and heating power coefficient of different houses.
