Abstract

The changes in the printing industry since the founding of Printing News in 1928 is discussed. The technical skills required by the workforce in the printing industry, although important, are but a small portion of what brought the industry to where it is now. According to the author, it is dangerous to put too much emphasis on a particular technical skill only.
