Description
John Kean in Philadelphia, PA wrote to Herman LeRoy, addressed to New York, NY. This letter concerned both personal and financial issues. John offered to send his books to Herman to compare them. People included: Mr. Rivington, Gerard Walton, Messrs. Craigs, Mr. Bayard, Mrs. Kean, Mrs. LeRoy, Peter, Cornelia [Bayard], Kitty [Bayard], Herman Bayard, Kitty Bayard. Places included: Cortland Street, Broadway, [Columbia University] College. Notable quote: "Peter says he must not be forgotten but that you must kiss both Cornelia + Kitty for him shake hands with Herman + tell Kitty Bayard that if he was big enough he would make love to her." [Peter was four years old].
