Description

Gustavus Risberg, in Philadelphia, PA, wrote to Susan Kean, Elizabeth Town, NJ. Mr. Risberg resolved an issue over payments with Mr. Meredith but an issue with another and a bank remained unresolved. Included is a payment for 120 galls [gallons] of wine. He discussed the death of William Lawrence. Risberg also apologized for mentioning that his account was not fully balanced and that he expected it to be so once "the Negroes" repay him.
