Description

Peter Kean wrote from New York, New York to Susan Niemcewicz, unaddressed. The accounts were not developed yet although some progress was being made. Peter learned that there were some letters and papers that he had not seen that might shed some light on the subject. The business would not be through till Tuesday. Peter planned to come home on Wednesday and would bring Vanbrough with him. Mrs. Romaine was in the country. Peter went the day before to inquire about the basket and found that Captain Paul had taken it with him out of town. Wished Susan would find something out from Uncle P’s letters respecting the $1600. There was no news in town and everyone was expecting an Embargo on the meeting of Congress.

People mentioned: Mrs. Romaine and Captain Paul.
