Description
Mabel G. Holmes (1902-1993) graduated from the New Jersey State Normal School in 1921. She became the first African American teacher in Elizabeth. Later, she became a Principal and member of the Board of Education.
This document includes Dr. Raichle's interview notes, after talking with Mabel G. Holme at her home in Elizabeth, NJ.
