Planned to set out that day and hoped to see Susan soon.

Peter Kean wrote from New York, New York to Susan Niemcewicz in Elizabethtown, New Jersey. Peter’s friend did not leave town till Saturday. He had seen her frequently but had not yet had any opportunity of saying anything particular. Sutherland was to remain in New York and Peter though he would remain as well until he went up the river. Mr. Stephens did not pay any interest and he was not in town. The balance due to Susan on the bank was nine-hundred and some dollars. The Colonel planned to leave for West Point but planned to return with Mrs. Williams.
