Description
As technology continues to move faster, it is increasingly important not only to provide students with access, but to give them an opportunity to be creators of OER texts and resources. Using the Legitimate Peripheral Participation (Lave & Wenger) theory and Communities of Practice (Wenger) framework, this session will explore various possibilities for student authorship of various texts. Ultimately, the session will highlight the need to provide professional experience to college students, and the impact OER partnerships have on the institutions that empower learners.
